Haifa Villa
The brief was 'calm, but not cold' — two words that contain an entire design philosophy. Cold calm is easy: white walls, minimal furniture, nothing personal. The challenge was warmth without busyness. The answer was entirely in material selection and window placement rather than added colour or decoration. Specific wood tones — chosen for their grain direction and warmth — were placed where light from the west-facing windows would catch them in the evening. Stone surfaces were honed rather than polished, giving them a softer, more tactile quality. The furniture sits low and wide, anchoring the space without dominating it. The result is a home that feels quiet the moment you walk in — not empty, but settled.
